Memberships

As an ANJEC member, environmental commissions and organizations join a statewide network of local groups who work to protect New Jersey’s natural resources, and ensure that the environment has a strong voice in local government. Membership with ANJEC includes:

• Community Connection: Your membership connects you with a community of environmental commissions and organizations, fostering collaboration and knowledge-sharing among peers.
• Education and Resources: ANJEC provides both in-person and online trainings, along with a wealth of resources to help you stay informed and equipped to tackle environmental challenges.
• Policy Updates: You will stay informed on statewide policy proposals and initiatives that impact your community’s environment.
• Partnership Opportunities: Explore opportunities to partner with other municipalities, nonprofit initiatives and other organizations to advance environmental causes in your community.

ANJEC’s comprehensive services and resources will empower your commission or organization to implement effective solutions, successfully complete environmental projects, and advocate for local policies grounded in best practices.

ANJEC offers three types of membership:

• Municipal Membership
• Business Membership
• Nonprofit Membership

 

Municipal Membership

Membership is available to all New Jersey municipalities. Environmental Commissions, Committees, Green Teams, Shade Tree Committees, Open Space Committees, Planning Boards, and others are welcome to join ANJEC annually.

Membership Benefits

• Trainings, workshops, and webinars offered in-person and virtually on timely environmental topics (members attend with no registration fee)
• Expertise and tool-kits from ANJEC’s Resource Center staff
• Access to sample ordinances, plans, resource papers and manuals
• Subscription to the ANJEC Report, a quarterly magazine, and the ANJEC News, a bi-weekly e-newsletter
• Opportunities to network with other environmental groups
• Portable games and displays for loan on a variety of environmental topics, for use at fairs and events
• Road Show: ANJEC staff can arrange a workshop on environmental topics of your choice, and present remotely or at your facility ($300 fee.) Municipal officials and other guests from your town or neighboring municipalities are encouraged to attend.

Municipal Membership Rates (2024) 

• Membership, up to 7 members: $425
• Membership for a second committee, board, or green team, up to 7 members: $225
• Additional individual members, such as commission alternates, planning board members, and elected officials: $45 per person

Join Us!  Municipal Membership Enrollment

Step 1: Submit invoice for membership to the municipal offices for payment of membership dues. Remember to include membership dues in the annual budget.

 Step 2: Email or mail a current roster of the individuals that will receive member benefits (Environmental Commissioners, Alternates, Liaisons, elected officials, etc.) Include contact information for each member. Please either use the form below, or send in an alternative format (Word, Excel, or PDF.) Throughout the annual membership, remember to provide any updates or changes to the roster by emailing info@anjec.org.

Business Membership

Join ANJEC in protecting New Jersey’s natural resources while promoting your business’ services and commitment to environmental stewardship. Business members enjoy the added benefit of advertising in ANJEC’s signature, quarterly magazine, the ANJEC Report, in addition to the standard membership benefits listed above.

Through business membership, companies gain exposure to a network of like-minded individuals and organizations due to a large print and digital distribution. Business Memberships range by the size of the advertisement, and start at $450 per ad annually.
