2023 Training includes:

Resources and tools for participating in an effective and vital environmental commission;
Virtual hands-on review of actual development site plans;
In-person session for networking and advanced commission training
All sessions recorded for future viewing.

Tuesday, March 21, 7:00pm, virtual session
Environmental Commission Powers & Responsibilities
ANJEC staff and invited Environmental Commission presenters will share ideas and tips for basic procedures for an effective environmental commission.

Wednesday, March 22nd, Noon, virtual session
Creating/Updating a Municipal ERI/NRI
Expert advice on planning to create or update an Environmental Resource Inventory, hear from a environmental commission about how they got their project done.

Wednesday, March 22nd, 7:00pm, virtual session
The New Stormwater Permitting Rules, Stormwater Utility Planning
NJDEP staff will outline the new permit rules and share insights on compliance.  NJ Future staff will present on Stormwater Utilities for municipalities.

Thursday, March 23rd, Noon, virtual session
Land Use: The Municipal Master Plan, Municipal Ordinances
Experts will instruct on the procedure for updating the Municipal Master Plan, ordinance development and planning for warehouse sprawl and other current initiatives in New Jersey.  

Thursday, March 23rd, 7:00pm, virtual session
Site Plan Review, Green Infrastructure/Stormwater Plan Overview
Expert presenters will share procedure for Site Plan Review and Green Infrastructure programs.  Participants will get digital hands-on review of site plans with ANJEC staff & guests.

Advanced Environmental Commission Strategies & Networking.
Hear from ANJEC staff about recruiting and communication practices. 
Participate in a self assessment of your Environmental Commission.
Invited Environmental Commission guests will share successful programs and initiatives.
Networking learning circles for sharing ideas with your fellow Environmental Commissioners.

ANJEC Members: No charge to participate
Non-Members: $35 to participate in any/all sessions

We will register you for all sessions, participate as you wish and get access to all recordings and resources for future review.
