Supporting ANJEC: 3 Ways You Can Make a Difference

As a nonprofit organization, ANJEC relies on the generosity and support of donors like you to continue our vital work in protecting New Jersey’s natural resources and promoting sustainable practices. Below we explore the different ways you can support ANJEC and make a positive impact on the environment.

1. Individual Donors & Sustaining Supporters:

Individual donations are an important part of ensuring ANJEC can continue delivering our mission. Your contributions help fund our programs, workshops, and educational advocacy efforts aimed at preserving New Jersey’s diverse ecosystems and protecting the health of all living things through environmental protection work. Whether you can spare a little or a lot, every donation counts and goes a long way in furthering our mission. Individual donations of $100 or above annually are considered Sustaining Supporters and include the added benefit of attending our webinars free of charge and receiving a quarterly published copy of the ANJEC Report.
To donate, simply click on the “donate” button. You can choose a one-time donation or set up a recurring contribution, whichever fits your budget and preference. Your support ensures that ANJEC can continue to educate, engage, and empower communities
across New Jersey.

2. IRA Contributions:

If you’re 70½ years or older, you can make tax-free donations to ANJEC directly from your Individual Retirement Account (IRA). Known as qualified charitable distributions (QCDs), these contributions count towards your required minimum distribution (RMD) and may offer significant tax advantages.

By leveraging your IRA assets to support ANJEC, you can make a meaningful impact on environmental conservation while minimizing your tax liability. It’s a win-win pportunity to support a cause you care about while maximizing the benefits of your
retirement savings.

3. Planned Giving:

Planned Giving allows you to leave a lasting legacy while enjoying potential tax benefits. By including ANJEC in your estate plans, you can ensure that future generations have the resources they need to protect and preserve New Jersey’s environment.

There are various planned giving options to explore, including bequests, charitable remainder trusts, and charitable gift annuities. Consult with your financial advisor or estate planner to determine the best strategy for your philanthropic goals and financial
situation.
