Road salt is critical for winter safety but has significant environmental costs. This workshop will focus on the role of citizen scientists in studying and mitigating the impact of road salt on local ecosystems. Participants will learn how to collect and analyze data on salt pollution and collaborate with environmental groups to reduce its negative effects on freshwater systems.
