Since May, New Jersey has experienced significantly below average rainfall and has been at a drought warning status since November 2024.
Join us to learn how Environmental Commissions and local officials can help educate the public about strategic water conservation efforts to help avoid or delay a drought emergency.

  • Kent Barr, NJDEP Research Scientist Water Supply Planning and Modeling Section, will join us to talk about the current state of water supply in the Garden State.
  • Jennifer Coffey, ANJEC Executive Director, will outline specific actions ECs can take in partnership with their municipal governments to improve water conservation in the spring and summer.
