Under the New Stormwater Management Rules, all municipalities were required to pass a new stormwater management ordinance requiring the use of green infrastructure for stormwater control for large development applications.

What does this mean for your Township, for your Environmental Commission, for your Land-Use board?
What are the required Green Infrastructure practices and how do I know if the project is good?
Will implementing GI solve flooding issues?
What is the impact on stormwater volume and flooding when variances are granted allowing increased impervious surfaces in my community?

Christopher Obropta, Director of the Rutgers Cooperative Extension Water Resources Program
Lorraine Prince, Sustainable Collingswood
